Laksharchanai is primarily dedicated to Poorna Pushkalabal Samedha Shree Hari Hara Putra Swami and not to Ayyappan.
A lot of devotees by mistake or loosely use the word Ayyappa Laksharchanai. Since the Sankalpam is Poorna Pushkalabal Samedha Shree Hari Hara Putra Swami prasaada siddhyarthe jape viniyoga.
Swami's Sahasranamam can be recited by any devotees, their is myth that ladies should not recite Sahasranamam or only Brahmins are allowed to sit in Laksharchanai.... These are just Myths needs to go.....
Sahasranamam which glorifies Swami's names and hidden stories should be chanted and cherished by devotees....
